We have many new people in our choir who haven’t performed with us before (woo hoo!), so to benefit them and to remind the veteran members, the general performance expectations for this group have been included below.
Please wear shades of red and green on the top (solid-ish patterns) and long black pants or a long black skirt on the bottom. Black, closed-toed shoes are also preferred. We want to blend into the background during the acting, so the less skin we have reflecting the stage lights the better!
The stage will be kept cool, so keep that in mind when choosing a performance outfit.
NO STRONG SCENTS
We have many people in the choir who are extremely sensitive to strong chemical smells, so no cologne or perfume, please. Deodorant is quite acceptable, though! One of us has a high sensitivity to cinnamon, so please, no gum, mints, body sprays, etc. with cinnamon scent in them.
Be Ready Early
We’ve all heard the saying, “If you’re early, you’re on time, but if you’re on time, you’re late.” Try to be ready to go at least 10 minutes before we start, and it will reduce stress on everyone (especially our directors).
And Lastly… SMILE!
We’re singing about the birth of JESUS!! GOD WITH US!!!
Also, it’s totally okay to drink a little extra coffee to get the twinkle in your eye all… well, twinkly. Just make sure you chew a mint afterwards 😉
