Proverbs 8-5-19

We begin this life as slaves. Jesus came to free us. Those who trust in Him know the truth, and His truth sets us free!

22 The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast.

Day 17 of 21 Days of Deep

As we continue to dive deep into His Word, let’s look at Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Turn to Psalm 22 and read THE ENTIRE PSALM in your physical Bible first.

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?

Why would Jesus quote this verse while on the cross? I highly encourage you to read the discourse following this blog.

Scripture-Read it. Ask the Spirit to speak to you as you read.

Observe– Did you notice anything in particular? Did the Spirit highlight anything?

Apply– How does this passage apply to you? Is your overall desire to please Jesus and to look like Him?

Pray– Ask the Lord to help you understand-even deeper-what it means to have Christ in you. Ask Him the what, where, when, why and how concerning this passage.
