Proverbs 27 2-27-19

Jesus is pleased with us. We are His and He loves us. He is working in us what is pleasing to Him.

2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; someone else, and not your own lips.

Why does God praise us? Because we chose His Son.

How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we belong to Christ. 4 Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure.
6 So we praise God for the wonderful kindness he has [freely and liberally] poured out on us because we belong to his dearly loved Son. Ep 1:3-6

Knowing that God orchestrated our trusting in Jesus and becoming children of God, we can rest assured that He will work in us what He promised: for us to be holy and without fault in His eyes. WE ARE holy and without fault (blameless) NOW. How do I know? Because God is doing the work!

And now, may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, all that is pleasing to him. Heb 13:21a

Sometimes we try too hard. We don’t have to work at being pleasing to God. We already are. If we listen, we can hear His voice:

“Beloved, I love you with an everlasting love. I sing over you with joy! know my plans for you, plans to prosper you and give you peace, My peace, that transcends all understanding. Think of Me and I will fill you with an inexpressible joy. I can hardly wait for you to join Me where I am, and to see and experience My glory. Hang tight, I am coming soon to get you! Until then, rest in My promise.”

From Jer. 31:3, Zeph. 3:17, Jer. 29:11, Phil. 4:7, 1 Peter 1:8, John 17:24, Rev. 22:20 and 1 Thes. 4:14-18

Let’s rejoice today in His great love and His promises!
