Proverbs 2 2-2-19

“Stop right there, there’s a fork in the road!”🎵 It’s a crossroad. We come to Him every time to see which way to go.

1 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, Pr 2:1

Do we really believe God? Do we believe that He has our best interests in mind? Do we really believe that Satan exists and that our sin destroys us, and that Jesus came to give us life–pressed down, shaken together and running over?

I think we do. But, do we believe that He speaks to us:

  1. Through prayer-straight to our hearts? We read all the way through the Bible how men and women lifted their hearts to God in prayer AND HE ANSWERED THEM!
  2. Through circumstances? That red light you caught may have changed your destiny…
  3. Through others, both Christians and non-Christians?
  4. Through His revealed Word?

The words, “You’re not worthy,” or, “He’s too busy,” are NOT from God, but from the enemy. Don’t listen to him. Jesus tells us to come to Him (Matt. 11:28-30).

When we find ourselves hiding from (ignoring) God so that we can sin, REPENT! Remember that sin destroys (John 10:10), and God honors our choices. He will help us pick up the pieces of our lives, but why go there? He had SO MUCH in store for us!

Let’s make the Main Thing the Main Thing today and let THE LOVE, PEACE, AND THE WORD OF CHRIST rule in our hearts with JOY.

14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude [and joy] in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of [and with] the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Col 3:14-17
