As we allow the Spirit to have His way in us, we express more and more of Christ to others. We become like Him!
3 I have not learned wisdom, nor have I [all the] knowledge of the Holy One.
… 5 “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” Pr 30:3,5
I love linking these two verses together. It keeps me humble and points me to His Word, which I can trust implicitly (unquestioningly or unreservedly; absolutely).
Sunday, I couldn’t find a verse I wanted to quote. I was in the wrong book! I found it this morning and the note I have with it. Thought I’d share:
OVERFLOWING/ABOUNDING:
Romans 5:5 Love
Romans 5:15 Grace
1Timothy 1:14 Grace and Faith
Romans 15:13 Hope (also joy and peace)
Philippians 1:26 Joy
Philippians 4:7 Peace
1 Thessalonians 3:12 Love
John 10:10 (AMP) Life!
The last one, LIFE, is really a result of the others. We could include eternal pleasures:
11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Ps 16:11
All of these promises are ours. Peter believed so:
4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate [become partakers] in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2Pe 1:4
As we allow the Holy Spirit to make these promises come true in our lives, let’s be Christ to others so that the Spirit may kindle a desire in them to know more about Christ and eternal life.
