Proverbs 15 1-15-19

Where do we get our direction for daily decisions? From where do we draw? We had better know, lest we be deceived!

14 The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly. Pr 15:14

The flip side to this coin is:

12 A mocker resents correction; he will not consult the wise. Pr 15:12

We must be willing to trust Jesus with our lives daily, and with our daily lives. Otherwise, our faith is weak, our unbelief great, and He can do little with us and for us.

58 And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith. Mt 13:58

The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are God’s revealed plan for us. What is that plan? TO KNOW HIM! We can know Him on a personal level and not just from the testimony of someone else, whether that testimony is today or 2000 years ago. The crucial point and difference from any other religion is that WE CAN KNOW CHRIST! It is the ONLY way to BE a Christian. Jesus said,

11 Give us today our daily bread. Mt 6:11

35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. Jn 6:35

37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. Jn 6:37

Let’s come to Him this morning giving Him our whole hearts and receiving from Him all that we need for today as we walk with Him in obedience.
