Jesus came so that we could be reunited with the Father through Him. Who will you be celebrating these next few days?
24 The father of a righteous man [person] has great joy; he who has a wise son [child] delights in him. Pr 23:24
15 My son [child], if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad; 16 my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right. Pr 23:15-16
Jesus calls us into right relationship with Him. What are we willing to do to get there? Or, what are we willing to do WITHOUT? This world offers so many different options and substitutes to God’s love, joy and peace that it’s hard to tell what is real and what isn’t, which is why we need Jesus!
In this chapter, we find that even three thousand years ago, the devil was using alcohol to ruin lives:
20 Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, 21 for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags. Pr 23:20-21
31 Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly! 32 In the end it bites like a snake and poiso0ns like a viper. Pr 23:31-32
This season, let’s make Christ the One will fills us with His Spirit and worship Him with hearts full of gratitude and with clear minds.
