Don’t choose the things of this world (you KNOW what they are). Instead, choose life: choose JESUS!
Proverbs 15:8 The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him.
Jesus made it very clear that those who follow Him will show their love by their actions. Our actions show what is really in our hearts.
John 14:15 “If you love me, you will obey what I command.”
But, never fear! He promised to give us the desire to please Him by giving us His Spirit.
John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
John 16:23-24 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
Philippians 2:13 (AMP) [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the desire and power], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.
God gave us the ability to choose: He has given us the desire and power to choose Him (His will). Let’s decide to start choosing life. If you have a question about something, ask Him. He will prompt you or let you know through His Word, His family (the church), or even your circumstances. Just don’t be hard-headed about it!
Choose life today; choose Him every time!
Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMP) Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament), Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it).
