There is no greater April Fool than he who does not believe in Jesus. How could a person miss so great a Savior?
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Fear of the LORD-the knowledge of what so GREAT a God can do in the way of punishment, but rejoicing in the knowledge that so GOOD a God He is that He took our punishment so we can be His!
John 5:24 “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”
We all start at the cross: Learning that we deserved death, but believing Jesus when He said, “I AM the resurrection and the life.”
John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Jesus asked Martha directly. He asks us the same question just as directly. To answer as Martha did is true salvation,
“Yes, Lord,” she told him, “I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”
We mistake head knowledge for salvation; it’s actually not something we know, but Someone we trust. Salvation is wrapped up in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Are you grateful for all He has done for you? Are you rejoicing that He lives inside of you today? Are you living your life with Him at the controls? Are you hungering and thirsting after righteousness?
Today of all days, let’s worship Him together in our respective houses of worship!
