Proverbs 15:26 The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but those of the pure are pleasing to him.
We are a self-centered people. We think of ourselves first and many times only ourselves. To think of others is unnatural for us, yet it is exactly what we expect from everyone in order to live together in peace.
The problem is that thinking of others requires a different spirit within us: the Holy Spirit. It is HE who gives us first the desire and then the power to do His will.
Philippians 2:13 AMP [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will [desire] and to work [power] for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.
NOW we can:
1. Give a gentle answer,
2. Adorn knowledge,
4. Have a soothing tongue,
7. Spread knowledge,
8. Pray uprightly,
9. Pursue righteousness,
13. Have a happy heart,
18. Be patient,
21. Keep a straight course,
23. Give a timely word,
24. Keep heading upward,
26. Please the Lord with our thoughts,
28. Weigh our answers,
31. Listen to a fife-giving rebuke,
32. Heed correction,
33. And fear the Lord in humility.
