Proverbs 29  6-29-16

Proverbs 29:3 A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father,
but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.

The same could be said about anything that has no real [eternal] return, for instance, gambling, which has a return (if you are lucky-really lucky), but it is not eternal. But there are so many others, most of which having to do with entertainment. What is the outcome of chasing after “prostitutes?”

[6] An evil man is snared by his own sin, but a righteous one can sing [rejoice] and be glad.

It is only 12 o’clock when the hands are straight up; if they point anywhere else, then it is not 12 o’clock. It is the same with our lives. If we do not point to Christ, then we are not following Him. Look where you are going and go where you are looking

Let’s be intentional about following Christ. If you are going to follow Him, do it with all you have. May we stop trying to go two different directions and choose one, or rather, the One.
